Please read the following instructions to ensure the best meeting possible for yourself and the other participants as we are unable to help you during the meeting. The following information is below, please scroll down the page to get the details for each topic:
NOTE: Items starting with a gold asterisk * do not apply to "Live Streams" where there is no interaction with Ananta.
Do not show up more than 15 minutes before the start time. 10-15 minutes is normally plenty of time to get yourself in and set up. Please use a time zone converter to ensure you have the correct equivalent time. While Ananta is resident in the UK, meetings are posted for the London, UK time zone (BST or GMT).
Your Zoom Meeting Room Link. If you have not already been provided with your meeting room link and password (if required) in your confirmation email, you will be emailed the link prior to the meeting at the email address you registered with. Please check your email Spam folder if you do not see it.
For meetings with a 'Host', your meeting host will arrive in the room approximately 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
The Zoom Meeting Link is not working for you. If the Zoom meeting room link is not working for you, completely shut down your device (this purges the RAM) and then wait a few minutes before restarting it and click on the meeting link. Only click on the meeting link once and give the program some time to load.
Turn off your phone/email and other distractions. Bringing your full presence to these meetings serves you, the group and the whole so please put all else aside and switch off phones and email and other distractions. Also, while tea and water are fine during the meeting, please do not eat anything. And please turn your camera off if you need to get up or need to reposition your computer, etc. so as not to disturb the meeting.
Note: On Live Streams of in-person meetings your video camera should be turned off to save bandwidth as Ananta is unable to see the Live Stream group.
Arriving late or leaving early. If necessary, you can come into the meeting room late or leave early, though it is best to be there for the whole Satsang if possible.
*Please wear a headset or earbuds. If you will be speaking with Ananta during the meeting this helps us avoid audio feedback and gives us a good audio and video recording. Should we experience significant feedback from your connection, Ananta may not be able to take your question. It may also occur that your device's external microphone actually works better so please follow the Host's instructions. (This, does not apply to 'viewing only' Live Streams where you do not normally speak with Ananta.)
Unmuting yourself to speak with Ananta. If you wish to speak with Ananta during an online meeting you will need to give the Host permission to unmute you. You will receive a pop up window asking for permission when it is your turn to speak with Ananta, please unmute yourself.
Attending Hosted and Non-Hosted Meetings. For a 'hosted' online meeting, the meeting host will normally do a couple of quick sound checks for you before the meeting starts (or play music).
For an unhosted Live Stream of one of Ananta's in person meetings, the mic will be open and you should hear music or the sounds coming from the room before the meeting starts. See below for more detailed audio troubleshooting instructions.
Audio breaking up or you are dropping out? This is normally a bandwidth issue when using WiFi so make sure ALL other programs are turned off, including your web browser as it is not needed once you are in the video conference room.
Are you experiencing a strong audio 'echo'? If you are experiencing an 'echo' please check to make sure you have not logged into the meeting room twice... this can happen if you don't let the program fully load and click on the link again thinking you aren't being connected. Please check the participant's list to see if your name is on the list twice. If you are on the list twice, leave the meeting, shut down your device for a few minutes (to purge RAM, etc.), then restart your device and click on the meeting link ONCE and give the meeting room time to load.

Audio & Video Troubleshooting and Helpful Links
- One of the simplest and easiest ways to resolve most problems is to shut down all programs and then turn your device completely off for ten minutes to purge the RAM. Then follow the instructions below.
- For the audio, make sure your earbuds or headset are plugged in before coming into the Zoom meeting room.
- For both the audio and video, ensure you turn off all other programs like Facetime, Skype, etc. that may be accessing your device before you come into the Zoom meeting room. Then once in the meeting room, quit your web browser unless you are using the web app.

To “Raise Hand” on a Mac or PC you will have one of two methods depending on how up to date your App is.
On the older versions of the Zoom App open the “Participants" menu… you may need to mouse over the bottom of the screen for the control bar to appear. Scroll to the very bottom of the list and you will see the "Raise Hand" button.
